Zertifikatskurs Elev_Innenprogramm Semperoper Ballett und Hochschule für Tanz Dresden

About this program

The ElevInnenprogramm, established in 2006, offers young dancers the opportunity to gain practical experience with the Semperoper Ballett for an entire season while simultaneously studying at the Palucca University of Dance Dresden. Since the 2018/19 academic year, the joint program by Semperoper Ballett and Palucca University of Dance Dresden has been conducted as a certificate program, the first of its kind nationwide. The participants are integrated into the company's performances and benefit from a comprehensive training program organized in conjunction with the Palucca University of Dance Dresden. The program aims to facilitate the entry of young dancers into the professional dance world by combining professional experience with intensive training. Participants benefit from tailored courses, repertoire-focused workshops, coaching, consultations, and courses in other subjects such as contemporary dance, improvisation, pointe work, pas de deux, and partnering, both within the company and at the university. Theoretical instruction related to the program's content and the establishment of tutor positions within the company and at the university are also planned to provide a well-rounded education and intensive artistic support. Participants also engage in performances and activities of the Palucca University of Dance Dresden and can receive specific preparation for competitions or similar events. In 2011, the ElevInnenprogramm received the award from the Semperoper Foundation – Förderstiftung. The program is a collaboration between the Semperoper Ballett and the Palucca University of Dance Dresden.
