About this program
The research-oriented Master's program in Industrial Engineering with the degree Master of Science (M. Sc.) is a combined study program characterized by an interdisciplinary and almost equally balanced engineering, economic, and legal science education. It builds on the Bachelor's program in Industrial Engineering. On the basis of relevant Bachelor's degrees, these goals are to be achieved through the in-depth acquisition of knowledge, skills, and practical abilities. The university-specific combination of economic and engineering fields trains logical-analytical thinking, acting, and designing abilities at the interface between economics and technology within specific industry profiles. A consistently practice-oriented education also guarantees a direct path to the competence carriers in the free economy. The Master's program aims at a profound scientific engagement with individual tasks and questions at the interface between economics and technology. In the economics part, classic economic content and newer economic developments are taught. The engineering part of the study is divided into three independent specializations: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Automation and Biomedical Engineering.
