About this program

The dual Bachelor's degree program in Therapy and Nursing Sciences at HFH · Hamburger Fern-Hochschule is interdisciplinary and integrates vocational training. It is aimed at apprentices in occupational therapy, speech therapy, physiotherapy, and nursing who want to obtain a university degree parallel to their training and expand and professionalize their therapeutic and nursing knowledge. The program is guided by the principle of reflective practitioners, who are understood as scientifically trained and interactionally strong "doers" in their respective professional fields. In the interdisciplinary dual Bachelor's program, you will deepen and expand your professional competencies from your training and learn to link knowledge from science and practice. The modules of the program are oriented towards the content of your school-based training. In addition to field-specific subjects that focus on the content of your specialization, you will also be trained in interdisciplinary fields of health, therapy, and nursing, enabling you to collaborate with other professional groups in professional practice – a qualification that is already highly valued in the healthcare sector today. HFH cooperates with over 180 schools in the healthcare sector for this program. This nationwide network allows for distance learning close to home, which can be optimally combined with your training.
