About this program

The Master's program in Technical Cybernetics and Systems Theory (TKS) is research-oriented. It builds consecutively on the corresponding Bachelor's program in Technical Cybernetics and Systems Theory. However, the Master's program is also aimed at lateral entrants with a Bachelor's degree in Technomathematics, Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, Engineering Informatics, Mathematics, or Mechatronics. The focus of the Master's program is on acquiring advanced control engineering and systems theory knowledge in the form of methods for describing, analyzing, controlling, and optimizing nonlinear, event-driven, hybrid, and distributed parameter system models of dynamic processes. A joint teaching offer by engineers and mathematicians promotes intensive research orientation and simultaneously qualifies for professional research practice.
