About this program

The Master's program 'Systemic Social Work' is a consecutive, interdisciplinary, and application-oriented part-time Master's program. It builds upon a first professional university degree in Social Work, Social Pedagogy, or Social Work. It is aimed at social workers who want to be qualified for the entire spectrum of the social work profession, gain competencies for leadership roles, and/or prepare for an academic career (possibility of a doctorate). Building on the key competencies acquired in the Bachelor's program in Social Work, the Master's program deepens and expands these competencies. In conjunction with professional practice experience, the Master's program allows for a deepening of knowledge competencies in Systemic Social Work and an expansion and refinement of action and method competencies, aiming for a special skill profile that combines systemic scientific, reflexive, social work scientific, research, and counseling competencies. In particular, the study focuses on appreciative, dignified, reflectively-all-party, new approaches.
