About this program
The Bachelor's program Sustainable Power Engineering provides engineering skills and their application in a practice-oriented and energy technology context. The program covers fundamental modules (information technology, electrical engineering, mathematics, and natural sciences), core modules in electrical power supply, renewable energy technology, power electronics, and drive technology, technical elective modules, non-technical and interdisciplinary elective modules, a practical phase, and a thesis. Students can specialize through technical electives such as electromagnetic compatibility, microelectronics, hardware-oriented programming, energy economics, software engineering, or AI for engineering. Non-technical electives include project management, professional communication, English, or presentation techniques. The program also allows students to choose any two modules from the entire Bachelor's offering at TH Bingen. The curriculum aims to qualify students not only in fundamental and specialization areas but also in personal skills like teamwork, independent scientific work, and time management.
