About this program
The Social Law (Bachelor of Laws, LL.B.) program imparts legal, social, and economic competencies for a broad field of activity in the areas of social law as well as migration law and migration law counseling. Both training paths for social lawyers and migration lawyers combine legal expertise with strong communication skills in counseling and negotiation. The program offers a unique variant "Migration and Law" starting in the winter semester 2025/26, which qualifies students in the areas of migration law and migration law counseling. It provides in-depth knowledge of central topics of our migration society, such as mobility and labor migration, refugee protection and family reunification, integration, naturalization, and social (human) rights. At the interface of law and social sciences, it prepares students to actively contribute to shaping a just and sustainable society. The program is a full-time study program, but can also be completed part-time under certain circumstances. The study duration is seven semesters, including four semesters of study, one practical semester, and two semesters of advanced study with a final module. The "cooperative" study model is offered as a dual study program, allowing students to combine regular studies with practical phases in companies.
