About this program

The Master's program in Sozialmanagement (Social Management) was a successful academic further education program that has qualified numerous aspiring managers in the social economy, social organizations, and public administrations. It started in 2001 as one of the first Master's programs in social work in Baden-Württemberg. The Evangelische Hochschule focused on a demanding academic level, supplemented by practice-oriented research, project work, and a high degree of exchange and discussion opportunities. Professor Dietz has further developed this concept since 2010, focusing on the interests of potential employers. The decision to phase out this Master's program was preceded by extensive demand analyses, which indicated that (aspiring) managers increasingly favor significantly shorter qualifications, preferably modularly structured, that do not necessarily lead to a Master's degree. The program will be discontinued in the summer semester of 2029.
