About this program

In the 7-semester program, you combine in-depth theory with valuable professional experience, for example in school social work, with youth welfare offices, or in youth services. You support people in difficult life situations and strengthen their self-determination. The dual model offers you the best opportunities for starting your career and for further Master's programs. The degree program actively responds to new demands in social work, for example through specializations in youth welfare offices, ASD, or integration assistance. The curriculum is continuously developed to optimally prepare students for current and future fields of practice. This high degree of relevance provides graduates with the best job market opportunities, also thanks to the generalist profile that opens up diverse fields of application. Students work with a cooperation partner throughout the entire course of study, for example in youth services, migration, homeless assistance, or school social work. The different practical fields enrich the seminar groups, promote collegial exchange, and open up new perspectives on social work. Practical reflections, case discussions, and logbooks ensure close theory-practice transfer. Individual support is an integral part: Students are closely accompanied by study coordination, practice teams, and office hours, even in difficult phases. Someone is always available for all challenges. This open-door principle builds trust and ensures that no one gets lost in the system. Social work is more than a profession – it requires an attitude. This is specifically fostered in the study program through modules on self-reflection, ethical questions, professional identity, and resilience. Students learn to take responsibility, clarify roles, and professionally handle stress. This strengthens their personality and makes the difference in practice.
