About this program

The Social Work and Health degree programme combines the traditional fields of social work with aspects of health promotion and care. It aims to support people in different life situations and promote their participation in social life. Both individual and structural influences play a role here, which are analysed and dealt with using interdisciplinary approaches. Taking the 2030 Agenda into account, the topics of sustainability, social justice and empowerment play a special role. Students acquire the professional knowledge and competences to care for people with social integration problems, particularly in connection with illness, disability and old age, and to support them in making self-determined changes to their difficult life situations.
