About this program

The acting program focuses on the development of the student's artistic personality. Students learn various acting, improvisation, and body techniques, develop their voice, breath, speech, and musicality, stimulate their imaginative abilities, and cultivate stage presence. The curriculum covers different theatrical aesthetics from antiquity to postmodernism, including performance, post-dramatic, and absurdist theater. Students collaborate closely with directing students, forming teams to explore their individual artistic expression and acting styles. Workshops and masterclasses supplement the training, with the final production taking place at one of Hamburg's state theaters.
