About this program

The certificate course "Praxisanleitung für Hebammen" qualifies participants for the role of a practice instructor for midwifery students. This role is mandated by the 2019 Midwifery Act, requiring 25% of the clinical and extra-clinical practice of midwifery studies to be supervised by a pedagogically qualified midwife. The course focuses on teaching participants how to effectively convey their professional knowledge in a practical, understandable, and hands-on manner within the midwifery training program. The curriculum includes two modules: "Pedagogy and Didactics of Vocational Education" and "Subject-Specific Didactics for Practical Instruction in the Professional Field." The program incorporates in-person introductions, e-learning, site visits to instructional situations, and independent assignments. Upon successful completion, participants receive a university certificate and 10 ECTS credits, which can be credited towards further studies.
