About this program
The Politics program integrates aspects of sociological political research on a subject-specific political science basis. Students acquire competencies in assessing and critically reflecting on the functioning of the political system, as well as in contextualizing political relationships within a broader societal environment. The competencies learned in the program can be applied in a variety of interdisciplinary fields and qualify for a range of professional activities in public, economic, and civil society organizations, such as in parliaments, associations, administration, political parties, educational and research institutions, and media organizations. Classic activities also extend to non-governmental organizations, work in the legislature, international organizations, professional political consulting, and political education.
