About this program

The dual nursing degree program at Fliedner University of Applied Sciences allows you to earn a state-recognized qualification as a registered nurse and the internationally recognized Bachelor of Science degree in eight semesters. The program focuses on both foundational technical knowledge and practice-oriented competencies. You will go through intensive and supervised practical phases where you will gain initial experience in practical nursing work. In addition, the nursing degree program qualifies you to take on medical tasks. The nursing program at Fliedner University of Applied Sciences imparts scientifically sound and evidence-based expertise. In the program, you will learn to critically reflect on nursing issues, contextualize research findings, and make reasoned professional decisions. This creates an academic understanding of nursing that goes beyond the mere application of methods. The nursing program qualifies for professional, science-based action in highly complex nursing situations and for taking on medical tasks. The close integration of theory and practice is a central feature of the program. Lecture and practice phases alternate in blocks, so that practical training is firmly integrated into the study process. This allows nursing competencies to be directly tested and deepened. Accompanying reflection phases support the contextualization of practical experience and its connection with theoretical knowledge. Whether in hospitals, long-term care, or outpatient care - the program provides insights into different care areas and nursing specializations. The practice network thus offers a broad spectrum of learning locations and supports individual professional orientation. With its many years of experience in academic nursing education, Fliedner University of Applied Sciences offers a structured and supportive learning environment. Small groups allow for individual support and promote professional development.
