About this program
This Master's program qualifies you for exciting and demanding tasks in the fields of education, promotion, and training. The part-time study program is aimed at professionals in pedagogical or social-pedagogical contexts who have a relevant Bachelor's degree – for example, in social work, social pedagogy, childhood pedagogy, educational science, special needs education, or teaching. The program focuses on psychological core competencies with pedagogical expertise, including communication and conversation skills. Within pedagogical psychology, you will deal with diverse topics of teaching and learning for young and old, such as education and development in childhood and adolescence, media pedagogy, corporate learning, or digitalization. You will also acquire important research skills, particularly in psychological-pedagogical diagnostics and empirical educational research methods. You will learn to conduct needs analyses, interventions, consultations, and evaluations at various levels of the education system, as well as to independently shape learning and development conditions. The module "Practical Phase with Teaching-Learning Research Project" allows you to apply your acquired knowledge directly by planning, conducting, and evaluating a teaching unit.
