About this program

This master's program provides a selective and integrative deepening of genetic, biochemical, molecular biological, physiological, and cell biological concepts and methods. It focuses on current questions in biology and medicine by clarifying underlying molecular processes in cells, particularly the regulation of genes, the structure and functions of proteins and metabolites, their functional interactions within and between cells, and their pathological disorders. The program covers the molecular approaches at the level of genes, proteins, and metabolites, connecting them with cell biological and physiological approaches to understand developmental processes, disease, resistance, and environmental adaptation, as well as to develop therapies, biotechnological processes, or high-yield crop varieties.
