About this program

The Micro- and Nanotechnologies Master's program is highly interdisciplinary, combining content from various fields, from scientific fundamentals to engineering-focused applications. It addresses students with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology or a closely related engineering program with a specialization in Micro- and Nanotechnology or Microsystems Engineering. Other engineering degrees with a strong focus on Electrical Engineering, Semiconductor Physics, or Microelectronics are also considered. The program aims to bridge the gap between the macroscopic world and the nanocosmos, utilizing the unique properties of nanomaterials and structures for applications in microelectronics, energy conversion, communication technology, and biotechnology. Students gain practical experience with processes and technologies in a modern infrastructure, including cleanrooms, and can engage in research on new materials.
