About this program

The Master's program is consecutive and builds on the Bachelor's program in Mechatronics. Mechatronics is a multidisciplinary field of engineering based on the foundations of classical disciplines such as mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and information technology. It deals with the systematic development and technical implementation of new integrated systems characterized by a certain degree of "intelligence" and resulting independent action. The goal of our training of modern engineers is to impart technical knowledge and systems thinking, also across disciplinary boundaries, combined with teamwork and communication skills. The Master's program covers the broad spectrum of technical competencies required by industry and offers a high degree of flexibility in subject choice. Research-oriented study formats with close contacts to industry and business are offered.
