About this program
The Master's program in Design offers a unique space and time to develop ideas, concepts, objects, systems, interventions, and experiences. The program creates room for research, exploration, reflection, and action in a socio-political climate that is particularly challenging today. Embedded in a community of designers and thinkers whose practices range from visual communication and digital systems to material and spatial work, the Master's program in Design provides time. Time to question, rethink, and explore alternative paths for our present and possible futures. Embark on a transformative journey with us! The new Master's program in Design offers an inspiring learning atmosphere where a research-oriented studio culture supports collaborative work and creative processes. By specializing in one of our studios, 'Design as Narrative Practice' (German-language study track) or 'Postdigital Design' (English-language study track), you open up a flexible, modular, and interdisciplinary learning environment. In addition to technologically outstandingly equipped labs, the program offers a diverse selection of courses from the entire design spectrum of the Design department. This allows you to shape your own individual Master's degree. The focus of the study is on a practice-oriented and theoretically founded engagement with societal transformation processes and interdisciplinary future perspectives, in design and artistic research approaches.
