About this program
The international master's program Smart City Solutions is taught exclusively in English. It is aimed at professionals with relevant work experience in the fields of architecture, urban development, urban planning, infrastructure, and engineering. The degree qualifies graduates to take on leadership positions in complex national and international Smart City projects. The master's program imparts knowledge and methods for strategic and visionary work on Smart City projects in the conception and implementation phases. Graduates acquire skills and expertise to recognize and assess the challenges of our cities and districts and to meet them with 'smart' solutions. This includes knowledge of the latest tools, processes, and organizational methods in the fields of transport and energy, urban development and urban planning, governance and financing, construction and architecture, as well as data platforms. A unique feature of the program is the 'Case Study,' where students collaborate with an ongoing Smart City project for two semesters, developing a Smart City strategy under the guidance of their instructors and in regular exchange with project managers. The modules are taught in block sessions, and students can choose to study full-time or part-time to continue their professional activities.
