About this program
The consecutive Master's program "Management and Quality Development in the Health Sector" (Master of Science) has been qualifying professionals for leadership positions in health and nursing facilities since 1994. Since the summer semester of 2008, this Master's program has offered the opportunity to expand and deepen the knowledge and skills acquired in the Bachelor's program, particularly in the areas of management in the health sector, quality development in the health sector, and competencies for independent research. It is aimed at university graduates who have completed the Bachelor's program "Management and Care in the Health Sector" at Alice Salomon University of Applied Sciences Berlin or a Bachelor's degree in health and nursing management, physiotherapy/occupational therapy, or a comparable degree. The program was successfully reaccredited in 2021 until 2029. The program's module content builds on the knowledge and skills acquired in the undergraduate studies. Students can choose between two specializations: Management and Business Administration or Research and Quality Development. Depending on the chosen specialization, the program qualifies for leadership, conceptual, consulting, and/or research positions in healthcare facilities. The Master's program provides students with ample room for independent, project-based work. It is internationally oriented and offers students elective options from the 3rd semester onwards, between the two specializations mentioned above and also between several project seminars in the 2nd to 4th semesters.
