About this program

The seminar Malerei und Skulptur is dedicated to the elementary techniques and media of artistic creation and offers participants the opportunity to get to know them, use them for themselves, and approach contemporary art from the perspective of painting and sculpture. For a long time, painting was largely considered a cipher for handmade, an expression of artistic immediacy. However, it is now almost self-evidently combined with digital technology. What was opposed to each other now interacts. Painting itself and its traditional techniques are also reflected as media through this mutual reference. The discussion about the aesthetic conditions of this process takes place in the seminars.
