About this program

The Master of Science in Projektentwicklung prepares you for leadership roles in the housing and real estate industry as well as in real estate business units. It teaches you to analyze construction projects from both a technical and commercial perspective and to guide them from planning through implementation to marketing. The program is particularly interesting for architects and economists who want to solve interdisciplinary issues in project development. Graduates become interdisciplinary experts, gaining commercial competence for new areas of responsibility or supplementing their technical expertise with economic knowledge. The program aims to achieve high employability and open up diverse career opportunities in the real estate industry. Graduates will be able to plan, control, and realize complex construction and urban development projects holistically and interdisciplinarily, combining technical, economic, and design thinking for sustainable and future-oriented projects. They will also understand legal, political, and social frameworks of urban and neighborhood development, develop creative and economically viable concepts, lead project teams, coordinate stakeholders, and communicate effectively at all levels. The program also focuses on developing scientific working methods, interdisciplinary teamwork, responsibility, decision-making, communication skills, agile methods, self-directed learning, analytical thinking, entrepreneurial thinking, and critical judgment.
