About this program
The Master's program in Art Education at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf is a four-semester program that follows a six-semester Bachelor's program. The artistic study is central to both parts of the program. Art education students work together with students of Fine Arts in the same studio classes. Artistic experience is an indispensable foundation and potential that art academy students can bring into their future profession as art teachers. The art education program can be studied as a single subject (Art) or in combination with a second subject, which must be studied at the cooperation university Duisburg-Essen. The Master's program includes a supervised practical semester in schools.
