About this program
The study program combines in-depth theory with continuous practical experience. Students acquire professional and methodological competencies to professionally shape educational and upbringing processes for children aged 0 to 14 in daycare centers, full-day primary schools, and family contexts. Reflection, communication, and pedagogical attitude are central. The program leads to a Bachelor of Arts in Childhood Pedagogy and state recognition as a childhood pedagogue. The VollzeitPlus study model allows for flexible practical phases, enabling students to work as paid professionals from the 4th semester onwards, parallel to their studies. The program strengthens professional identity through modules on professional self-understanding, ethics, communication, and conflict resolution. Small groups, close support, and practice-oriented settings facilitate deep personal development. Integrated certificates in movement, child protection, and health promotion offer concrete additional qualifications, enhancing career prospects beyond the daycare sector. Learning takes place through experience, reflection, and collaboration, with seminars held in various settings and joint formats with other disciplines.
