About this program

The Bachelor of Arts program in Childhood Pedagogy qualifies graduates for pedagogical work with children, for activities in the pedagogical field of primary schools, for leadership positions and expert advice in the elementary sector, and for supporting families with educational tasks. The program is based on a holistic understanding of child development. Interdisciplinary events promote exchange with students and lecturers from other fields of study. The methodical-reflective engagement of students with ideas and value orientations in the context of pluralistic-democratic societies is an explicit goal. Practical and study stays at other universities and pedagogical institutions at home and abroad are encouraged and contribute to the development of intercultural and transcultural competencies.
