About this program
The Jungstudium program is designed to foster young talents. It includes instruction in the student's main instrument, a secondary piano subject (unless the main instrument is a keyboard or plucked instrument), music theory, ear training, elementary music practice, and ensemble projects. Starting from the second year, students can apply for accompaniment. The program is divided into two phases: Phase 1 up to age 15, and Phase 2 starting at age 16. Students will be enrolled and become members of the university, gaining access to the Campusmanagement System (CAS), library borrowing rights, cafeteria access, and a personal access card for university rooms. The program is generally free of charge, with only a semester contribution to the Studierendenwerk Nürnberg-Erlangen required, unless attendance requirements are not met.
