About this program

The ASH Newcomer Office Team is the first point of contact for all international newcomers at Alice Salomon University of Applied Sciences Berlin and supports them before and during their studies, as well as with their professional entry into Germany. The team consists of student employees, social workers, coordination, and management. Colleagues in the team have personal experiences with racism and some have had to leave their home countries, while others have not experienced racism personally and have not had to flee. The team shares a common attitude of orienting their (advisory) work towards anti-discrimination and participatory practices. Their goal is to make advisory, support, and empowerment services for international newcomers visible and accessible. They also offer their own programs, language formats, office hours, workshops, and events.
