About this program
The "International Management Studies in the Baltic Sea Region (BMS)" is an internationally oriented Bachelor's degree program with a special focus on the Baltic Sea region. This business administration degree program, taught exclusively in English, concludes after eight semesters with the academic degree "Bachelor of Arts". The program imparts comprehensive management and methodological skills, as well as social and intercultural competencies. It also places great emphasis on high language proficiency. Learning a second foreign language (Norwegian, Polish, or Swedish) is mandatory. International students take German as a foreign language. The study program is divided into four semesters of foundational studies and four semesters of advanced studies. By the end of the fourth semester, fundamental business and economic content of international corporate management are taught. Furthermore, students' intercultural thinking and acting are trained, and they gain insight into maritime transport and sustainability in the Baltic Sea region. In the 5th and 6th semesters, emphasis is placed on building core competencies in the four areas of International Management, Finance and Foreign Trade, Marketing, and Taxation and Law. The program concludes with a Bachelor's thesis in economics.
