About this program

The certificate program Master of Advanced Studies Intensivpädagogik prepares you in a practice-oriented and part-time manner for working with children and adolescents at the interface of child and youth welfare, school, and integration assistance for people with disabilities. You will become experts in case management and consulting teams in difficult case progressions. Pedagogical diagnostics and case understanding, as well as de-escalation and violence prevention, are just as much a focus as staff safety and self-care. The program can be structured flexibly: either you complete the MAS Intensivpädagogik within one year, or you take the opportunity to have your study achievements credited towards the five-semester Master of Arts in Social Work and enter directly into the third semester to continue your academic career. In the Master of Advanced Studies Intensivpädagogik, you benefit from a high degree of practical relevance, learn to deal with crises and violence preventively, and can develop and evaluate concepts – tailored to the requirements of child and youth welfare.
