About this program
The Joint Bachelor of Arts program combines two equally weighted subjects. The Computer Science component focuses on the systematic processing of information using computers. While closely related to mathematics in its formal foundations, it is also an engineering discipline that has evolved from the need for fast and reliable calculations of all kinds. As Computer Science is only one of two subjects in the Joint Bachelor of Arts program, the Computer Science components are correspondingly smaller than in the Bachelor of Science Computer Science program. The Computer Science subject area is limited to more restricted fundamentals of the discipline and offers specialization in the areas taught at TU Darmstadt only to a lesser extent.
