About this program

This advanced training program is designed for individuals who wish to professionally handle conflicts in both professional and private spheres, with a particular focus on family conflicts. The program is offered in cooperation with the Evangelische Hochschule Berlin and the Institut FairStreiten, an accredited training institute of the BAFM (Federal Working Group for Family Mediation). The training consists of nine modules, two of which are conducted virtually (Basic knowledge of online mediation). Participants will learn to attune themselves internally and externally to others and to constructively mediate between different perspectives. The program emphasizes practical exercises and reflection, alongside theoretical inputs on conflict theory and communication psychology. A specialization in family mediation is integrated from the basic training through selected practical examples and role-playing. The training team includes a lawyer and a psychologist or human scientist, ensuring an interdisciplinary approach. Participants come from diverse professional backgrounds, fostering a rich learning environment and networking opportunities. The training meets the requirements for qualified mediation training according to the Mediation Act and, upon successful completion and demonstration of five supervised cases, allows participants to use the title 'certified mediator'. The program adheres to the quality requirements and ethical standards of the BAFM and the Bundesverband Mediation.
