About this program
The Bachelor of Science program in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology (etit) at TU Darmstadt equips students to participate in the planning and realization of electrical and information technology components and systems. The first four semesters provide a broad scientific education in the mathematical, scientific, and technical fundamentals of the field. From the fourth semester, knowledge is deepened in one of the freely selectable specializations: Automation Technology (AUT), Computational Methods in Electrical Engineering (CMEE), Data Technology (DT), Electrical Power Engineering (EET), Communication Technology and Sensor Systems (KTS), Sensorics, Actuators and Electronics (SAE), Distributed Autonomous Systems (VAS), or General Electrical Engineering (AET). In addition to subject-specific qualifications, interdisciplinary skills such as project management, languages, and economics are also taught. The program is both research- and practice-oriented. Theoretical knowledge is tested in practical application through laboratory internships throughout the course of study.
