About this program

The Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) is a research-based doctoral program for those interested in applied business research who want to contribute to the development of current management and professional practices in their respective fields. You will earn your business doctorate by conducting an evidence-based research project and writing your dissertation. The DBA program allows you to pursue a doctorate while continuing your career as a manager without interruption. The MBS is the only university in Germany that specifically prepares for a DBA program at an AACSB-accredited university. The DBA is a globally recognized doctoral degree that can be earned part-time. After successful completion, you can use the title "Dr." and open up new perspectives in business and academia. The compact, modular structure allows you to make rapid progress and achieve measurable results. The doctoral program can thus be optimally combined with work and private life. Small groups and personal support create an intensive learning environment. Your supervisors will guide you individually on the path to your dissertation. The DBA program is officially accredited and internationally recognized. It combines academic excellence with direct practical relevance. The DBA is specifically designed for working professionals. You can pursue your doctorate flexibly alongside your job – without interrupting your career. Your research is based on real-world issues from your professional environment. This creates knowledge with direct added value for your management practice. As a DBA student, you become part of an international network of executives, researchers, and experts. Munich Business School stands for excellent teaching, international accreditations, and personal support at the highest level.
