About this program

The Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) Digital Child Protection trains you to become an expert in how children and adolescents can be protected from endangerment of their well-being in the digital space and how they can develop digital sovereignty. In three modules, you will sharpen your perception of digital threats and learn about prevention methods as well as intervention strategies to deal with various digital threat scenarios. Each certificate course (CAS) begins with an onboarding session that provides an initial overview and prepares you for the upcoming content and working methods. The course is divided into three thematic blocks, each designed as a nano-module. Each module includes two online seminars and four in-person days. The program is supplemented by flexible self-study phases in which you read professional literature, complete assignments, and prepare for upcoming modules. In peer groups, you also have the opportunity to exchange ideas with other participants and reflect on what you have learned together. The certificate program concludes with an ungraded learning portfolio that bundles contributions from the nano-modules – with a focus on practical relevance, reflection, and scientific grounding, without classic examinations.
