About this program

The Master's distance learning program Data Science & Analytics (M.Sc.) qualifies you to participate in the development of smart products. You will recognize growth opportunities in the IoT sector and identify potential for new business models. You will develop a data strategy for a company or a long-term project. In the distance learning program "Data Science & Analytics", you will be taught the basic principles of empirical research as well as the fundamentals, methods, and evaluation procedures of quantitative data analysis. The use of AI methods and their application possibilities in practical use cases round off the application-oriented area. You will acquire special communication skills that you need for target definition, requirements gathering, expectation management, and the presentation of the results of a requirements analysis for a company. In this degree program, we will teach you knowledge that will enable you to professionally implement organizational, procedural, and IT technical concepts for building and leading successful teams in data science. You will evaluate and prepare data for analysis or use in machine learning and assess it qualitatively in order to develop a data strategy for a company or a long-term project. You will consider the (data protection) legal provisions and ethical issues in the context of data usage. In your practical project, you will practice practical application, goal refinement, and requirements analysis up to the communication skills you need for strategic implementation in a company. You will become an expert in data analysis and create new knowledge from it. The increasing digitalization of all corporate and life areas generates constantly growing amounts of diverse data. To use this data profitably, it must be prepared and evaluated. As a Data Scientist or Data Analyst, you will examine large amounts of data and identify trends, develop forecasts, and thus transform data into information.
