About this program

The Master's program in Chemistry is designed to meet the demands of the job market for highly qualified graduates who can contribute constructively to interdisciplinary projects based on their disciplinary knowledge. Students participate in courses from at least two specializations in Chemistry (Synthesis, Physical Chemistry, Theory and Computer Applications) and can take a limited number of courses in other mathematical and natural science subjects. Following the 'Master by Research' guideline, study content and competencies are aligned with current research topics. Several research internships and the Master's thesis provide opportunities for students to conduct relatively independent research within a given topic area, building on their disciplinary knowledge. Students are typically involved in interdisciplinary topics, fostering both in-depth knowledge and interdisciplinary thinking. Key elements include early integration of seminars for discussing current research, encouraging creativity, and developing research plans for internships.
