About this program
Interior designers are specialists in the planning and construction of interiors in an architectural context. The design of our immediate environment requires special design competence in consideration of ecological, economic, cultural and social conditions. In order to understand and design interiors, interior designers have to deal with current constructions, technologies and materials in a continuous learning process in addition to the arising issues of design and form. Semesters 1 - 3 include a dense basic course of study in the areas of design / presentation, construction, technology and theory in a mixture of workshop and studio work on the computer. After the basic studies and the examinations accompanying the studies, the project studies begin. Projects are generally offered in all the fields of design. Through various combinations, students can set their own main areas of study. A practical phase or a semester abroad is planned for the 6th semester. After the completion of the eight-semester course of study with a successfully completed thesis (Bachelor 8) and two years of professional activity, membership in the Chamber of Architects with the professional title of interior designer follows as a rule.
