About this program
The Bachelor's degree program in Business Administration (B.A.) at the HFH offers graduates of Austrian commercial academies (HAK) the opportunity to obtain the academic degree Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in only four semesters of part-time study and to further expand their business, economic, and legal knowledge and skills. The shortened study format is due to the recognition of some modules from your HAK education, which are credited as prior learning for the program. The economic development is characterized by high dynamism, progressive globalization, and intensifying competition in national and international markets. This, and the fact that company structures are becoming increasingly complex, makes the career prospects for business administrators enormously diverse: Companies, organizations, and public administrations today require excellently trained employees who understand complex contexts and can meet the respective professional requirements with their skills. What applies to companies in the private sector is now also mandatory for authorities and public administration: They too must deal with limited budgets, operate efficiently, and plan proactively. Both companies and public administrations therefore need specialists and managers who can meet these requirements. You will acquire the corresponding skills and competencies at an academic level in the Bachelor's program in Business Administration. These include, among others, high subject matter competence, comprehensive methodological competence, field-related competencies, leadership competencies, and expert knowledge from related areas.
