About this program
Learn everything about the integration of mechanics, electronics, and computer science in biological systems. The program is interdisciplinary and practice-oriented, focusing on scientific work in project labs with joint projects from different disciplines. It covers aspects of biomedical engineering and biomechanics, robotics, artificial intelligence, and process engineering. Students will learn the fundamentals of biology, anatomy, and physiology to better understand the interactions between technology and biological structures. Knowledge of mechanics, electronics, computer science, control engineering, sensor technology, and automation are also covered. Students will gain practical experience in modern labs, develop and test simple prototypes, and solve technical problems. Due to the faculty's research proximity, there are opportunities to work on future-oriented topics such as the development of biomechatronic prostheses, exoskeletons, or adaptive control systems. Internationality is emphasized, with the possibility to undertake the practical study semester abroad and conduct the bachelor's thesis in industry or research institutions domestically or internationally.
