About this program

The Bio-Materials Engineering Master's program builds upon the Bachelor's program of the same name, awarding graduates the academic degree "Master of Science (M.Sc.)". Students have the opportunity to choose one of two specializations (Paper Science, Biofabrication and Regenerative Medicine), which will be indicated on the certificate. Alternatively, students can opt for the "General Bio-Materials Engineering" specialization to keep all elective options open. The program integrates modules not only from mechanical engineering but also interdisciplinarily from biology, chemistry, material sciences, physics, and electrical and information engineering. The curriculum is complemented by practical sessions such as tutorials and Advanced Design Projects, offering insights into current research topics and allowing students to work on and present demanding projects.
