About this program
The part-time Master's program in Vocational Pedagogy for Health Professions is aimed at Bachelor's graduates from nursing and health professions (e.g., nursing, emergency medical services, midwifery, ATA or OTA) who see their professional future as teachers in vocational schools, technical colleges, or recognized training institutions. The program is organized entirely on a part-time basis and takes place in block weeks, allowing students to explore new professional perspectives or expand existing competencies without taking time off from work. The curriculum systematically builds and deepens theoretical foundations, subject-specific content, and practice-relevant teaching skills. In the 4th semester, the Skills Lab specifically prepares students for simulation-based teaching methods in health professions training, culminating in a certificate as a Simulation Instructor. The Master's program addresses the growing demand for academically qualified teachers in the nursing and health sector and allows entry with various nursing and health-related Bachelor's degrees, opening up excellent career opportunities.
