About this program
The Berlin School of Economics offers excellent graduate training for junior economists. It unites Berlin’s career development programmes at the PhD and Postdoc levels in a single and unique structure. It combines two pre-existing, very successful career development programmes: the Berlin Doctoral Programme in Economics and Management Science (BDPEMS) and the Berlin Economics Research Associates (BERA) programme. The following major institutions active in economics research in Berlin and beyond cooperate within the Berlin School of Economics: The European University Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder) , Freie Universität Berlin , Humboldt University of Berlin , TU Berlin , University of Potsdam , ESMT Berlin , the Hertie School , the Rockwool Foundation Berlin , and WZB Berlin Social Science Center .
