About this program
The dual study variant Mathe² is a Bachelor's degree program in Mathematics with maximum practical relevance. If you study in the Mathe² variant, the basic studies consist of three semesters, as you will already be working in a cooperating company during this time and can deepen your learning in practice. You will complete the basic studies with the Bachelor's preliminary examination. With the start of the main studies, from the fourth semester, additional lectures from one of the two specialization areas, Finance and Insurance Mathematics or Algorithm Engineering, will be offered. Students in the Mathe² - Work & Study variant already determine their specialization by choosing the company. Mathe² students have presence times in the company throughout the entire study period. These are equivalent to the Supervised Practical Study Project, which takes place in the 5th semester for Mathematics students in the classic study variant. The final Bachelor's thesis involves working on an application-oriented task from the fields of mathematics or the chosen specialization. The final thesis is usually written in the cooperating company.
