About this program
The Bachelor's program Prevention and Health Promotion is the first in Germany to cover all pillars of prevention. Students learn about nutrition, exercise, stress, and, depending on elective modules, the field of addiction. This qualifies them for exciting work in the growing fitness and health market, as the demand for specialists with billing capabilities is constantly increasing. The program is fully aligned with the Prevention Guidelines and the requirements of the Central Examination Office for Prevention (ZPP). Students acquire the prerequisites to offer courses and measures in the fields of nutrition, exercise, stress, and – depending on elective modules – also addiction, and to bill them with payers such as health insurance companies according to § 20 SGB V. The examination of the prerequisites is carried out by the ZPP on an individual basis. Further details on possible qualifications within the degree program that entitle to the implementation of billable services, such as rehabilitation sports, can be found under "Degree & Recognition".
