About this program

The Bachelor's program KlimaEngineering is an interdisciplinary program at the Stuttgart University of Technology. It innovatively combines competencies from the fields of Architecture and Building Physics, promotes interaction, and concludes with the "Bachelor of Engineering." The content is oriented towards the increasing energetic and constructive requirements in the areas of architecture and urban planning. Sustainable architecture with integrative technical solutions and quantitative evaluation methods is required. Conceptually, the Bachelor's program KlimaEngineering aims to grasp relevant problem areas in their complexity, adequately consider diverse perspectives, and develop practical as well as future-oriented solutions through methodical approaches. The focus is on architectural, structural, energetic, and thermodynamic relationships and their application from design and construction perspectives. The program aims to practically impart and deepen the complex architectural, structural, energetic, and thermodynamic relationships and their application from design and construction aspects. The global consumption of resources and increasing climate change must lead to a sustainable approach to our environment. To competently act in complex fields such as architecture, urban planning, building construction, materials science, technical building equipment, as well as supply concepts and new regulations such as the Energy Saving Ordinance, a completely new professional group is needed. The training objective of the KlimaEngineering program is to grasp relevant problem areas in their complexity, adequately consider diverse perspectives, and develop practical as well as future-oriented solutions through methodical approaches.
