About this program

As a paramedic, you assess the health status of sick, injured, or needy persons in medical emergencies, perform life-saving treatments, and stabilize patients for transport to the hospital. You remain calm, make quick decisions, and work effectively with other emergency services even in difficult situations and under high pressure. With your degree, you are also qualified as a paramedic. The dual study program integrates your vocational training into the study program. This allows you to achieve both your training and your bachelor's degree within three and a half years. Your lectures take place at your state-recognized college or academy for emergency medicine. The organization of your lecture times is also handled by your college or academy. You will gain in-depth technical and methodological knowledge of emergency medicine and rescue services. Furthermore, we strengthen your personal and social skills, making you fit for higher-qualified activities in the rescue services. At FHM, we not only impart scientifically sound specialist and industry knowledge (Professional.Skills) but also entrepreneurial thinking and action (Management.Skills) and offer a framework for self-development (Smart.Skills). Our teaching aims to make you professionally and academically capable and thus fit for the challenges of the working world. For this purpose, all our study programs are based on our FHM competence model, which is continuously developed by our educational scientists.
