About this program

The ASH Newcomer Office Team is the first point of contact for all international newcomers at Alice Salomon University of Applied Sciences Berlin and is there for you before and during your studies, as well as when starting your career in Germany. We are a team of student employees, social workers, and coordination and management. Our team includes colleagues who experience racism in their own lives and have sometimes had to leave their home country, as well as colleagues who do not experience racism personally and have no experience of fleeing. We share the common attitude of orienting our (advisory) work towards a discrimination-critical and participatory practice. Our goal is, on the one hand, to make advisory, support, and empowerment services for international newcomers visible and accessible. On the other hand, we offer our own programs, language formats, office hours, workshops, and events.
