About this program
The full-time study program BaAP 240 ten integrates theoretical work at the university with practical activity in an architectural office. Within ten semesters of standard study time, you will achieve 240 ECTS points. After the basic study in full-time, there will be six semesters in which you will alternate between study and practice on a half-weekly basis. The study program is modular and staggered in four thematically completed study stages. The first serves for orientation and basic training (1st to 3rd semester), followed by three annual blocks of study with integrated practice (4th and 5th, 6th and 7th, and 8th and 9th semesters respectively), in which the complexity continues to increase. Afterwards, you will complete your Bachelor's thesis in full-time (10th semester), with which you will complete your studies with the professionally qualifying academic degree of Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.). The Bachelor's program enables you to develop your own approach responsibly and with justification in a complex professional field. The recognized and established professional qualification of architects in Germany is already achievable with the first study level BaA 240 ten. According to the Architects' Acts in Germany, this leads to registration as an architect and building permit authorization after two years of professional practice. Additionally, if you meet the requirements, you can pursue a two-semester Master's program in Housing Construction. This offers an attractive specialization opportunity.
