About this program
The four-semester master's program deepens the mathematical, technical-computer science, and business administration knowledge from the bachelor's program. In the dual study program, practice and theory can be optimally combined. Study phases at the university and practical phases in the company alternate, so that you can keep an eye on the scientific background and the company perspective at the same time. Newly acquired knowledge can be directly applied in practice, and questions from everyday work can be incorporated into lectures, seminars, and exercises at the university. The dual master's program in Applied Computer Science combines theory and practice in an optimal way and offers the opportunity to be financially independent during your studies. To be successful in the study program, you need a willingness to perform and team spirit. The dual master's program in Applied Computer Science comprises four semesters and is structured in such a way that times at the university and with the practical partner alternate. During the lecture period, you are at the university 4 days a week and possibly one day with your practical partner. During the lecture-free period, you work full-time with your practical partner; you are released for exams. You can view the alternating rhythm graphically in the course plan. To deepen the practical transfer between the university and the company, you complete some practical modules. In these modules, you coordinate with your practical partner on a suitable topic, allowing you to implement the learned topics in a more practice-oriented way. An overview of all modules can be found in the study plan.
